HAMMER TIME
<br />
<br />
The diving started this trip at Fondeadero in San Benedicto Island with
strong current going down the line, with the occasional silkies swimming
closer to the boat and the quick glance of the first tiger shark of the
trip were the welcome to our journey.<br />
<br />
For our next day we had mild current hitting towards the north with
great hammerhead action, over 3 different groups of 20+ sharks gliding
on the outskirts and closer to the sandy bottom, some of them were quite
big while other group was a juvenile one. Some silvertips at the
cleaning station, mantas swimming in the blue and 2 different tiger
sharks over 3 meters came closer to us to disappear in deep water.<br />
<br />
At Boiler the action was great with the 7 different mantas along the day
getting their usual doze of bubbles, some dolphins early in the morning
with a couple of calves hunting in shallow water, more hammerheads on
the deep west point where around the same area we could spot over 5
Galapagos and another huge tiger shark.<br />
<br />
One of the highlights this time has to be the big amount of tunas at
Pariente´s Rock in San Benedicto Island mixed with big school of huge
hammerheads and mantas; also big schools of tunas hunting at Roca
Partida and just a few sharks there, not as many as usual but this time
we got to snorkel with a big group of 40+ false killer whales.<br />
<br />
At Socorro Island we dove at Cabo Pearce with easy conditions, no
current at all, where we had more hammerheads in the deep outskirts,
some mantas, a couple of dolphins and mobulas closer to the surface.

We had an 11 day trip this time and event though the weather conditions were not ideal, mostly overcast, windy and a little rough, but the diving rocked!</div>

The highlights of this trip were the insane dolphin action at "El Boiler" in San Benedicto Island and "Cabo Pearce" in Socorro Island where we had up to 23 dolphins interacting with the divers for most of the dives, specially at Boiler we had so much action that was hard<span class="text_exposed_show" style="display: inline; font-family: inherit;"><span> </span>to decide where to look at when we had dolphins, mantas and hammerheads at the same time, just a mind blowing experience!. The other highlight was Roca Partida with its crazy shark action, we had lots of Galapagos, Silver tip and Hammer head sharks specially on the north side of the rock where the current was hitting the rock must of the time, and where a bunch of creole and trigger fish gathered and where being hunted by a huge tuna that pass by many many times and gave us pretty cool action.</span></div>

<div style="font-family: inherit; margin: 0px 0px 6px;">
While at Roca Partida we had a humpback whale that sticked to the area for the couple of days we were there so we decided to sacrifice one dive to go try to get in the water with it, but unfortunately it was just cruising to fast and we had no luck...BUT then 2 male Orcas showed up and we got close enough that we jumped in the water and a few of us had an amazing few seconds of watching this beautiful creatures in their element!</div>
<div style="font-family: inherit; margin: 0px 0px 6px;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: inherit; margin: 6px 0px;">
The manta action was a little slow this trip but we still had come good days like at "El Cañón" where we had up to 5 mantas dancing around us for quite a while!</div>

Hola!<br />
<br />
<br />This trip started in San Benedicto Island where we stayed for two days. The first day we dove in “El Cañón” and “Dos Hermanas”; where we saw mantas, hammerheads, silver tips, Galapagos a whale shark and a big school of skip jacks. The second day we dove in “El Boiler” where we saw dolphins early in the morning, mantas during the day and at the end of the last dive two more juvenile whale sharks!<br />
<br />
The next stop was Socorro Island where we dove in “Cabo Pearce”. We saw dolphins in the morning and some of the divers had the opportunity to interact with them! The rest of the dives we saw mantas, hammerheads, Galapagos and silvertips sharks.<br />
<br />
After being in Socorro we headed to “Roca Partida”. We found the school of hammerheads but in water too deep to follow them. Galapagos, white tips and silver tips were the other sharks we saw. On this trip our clients decided to stay only one day in Roca and return to San Benedicto, because they wanted to dive in “El Boiler” one more time. We started early the last day, for a better chance to dive with dolphins. A pack of nine<br />dolphins were hunting and chasing jack’s fishes; a mama teaching the calf how to hunt included. For the rest of the dives we saw lots of mantas all over the dive site, a few hammerheads and a couple of Galapagos sharks.<br /><br />
Thanks’ to our friends of “Aqua Hut” for this great trip in Revillagigedo Islands. “Best trip ever!!!”<br />

Hi All!<br />
<br />
<br />
Las Cuevas in San Benedicto Island, our first dive of the trip offered a nice swim through dive with lots of white tip reef sharks, green sea turtles, sting rays, lobsters, eels, electric rays, a dive to get comfortable with everything!<br />
<br />
El Cañon dive site in San Benedicto island also offered nice diving with schooling hammerhead sharks, silver tip, silky sharks, Galapagos, lots of white tip reef sharks and even a tiger shark besides number of fish decorating the whole area.<br />
<br />
Dos Hermanos dive site was also a place for a second encounter with tiger shark for a bit longer time than usual, colder water temp made fish more active, nice slow drift made possible the manta encounter at the safety stop.<br />
<br />
Roca Partida for one day was the place for our shark dives and even Whale shark! The North end was packed with all type of fish due to colder water temperature(74℉/23.3℃) coming from depth, schooling hammerheads, silver tips, Galapagos and white tip reef sharks all together in just one area, current coming from North East made the diving interesting here! Schools of Yellow fin tunas, Bonitos, Rainbow runners, Black Jacks, of course we had the graceful company of mantas in the area.<br />
<br />
Cabo Pearce in Socorro Island was our place for two days of diving with schooling hammerheads, mantas so friendly and dolphins encounter every dive! A dolphin petting dive put smiles in our faces!<br />
<br />
El Boiler in San Benedicto Island, what a fantastic place, dives that can’t forget! Vis was constantly changing from 30ft/9m to 80ft/24m, water temp 79℉/26.1℃, no current made each dive enjoyable, at times even 5 mantas together a long the day, hammerheads sharks randomly appearing here and there, fish all over the rock! During second dive of the morning a group of 15 to 18 dolphins showed up for the entire dive, 50 minutes
dive! mothers with calves, adult and juvenile ones, all together with mantas, so El Boiler became a cleaning station not only for mantas but dolphins too!<br />
<br />

Current speed from 1 to 5, 2<br />

Trip report 7<br />
From January 6th to 14th.<br />
<br />
The first stop on this trip was in San Benedicto Island, where we dove in “El Cañón” and “Dos Hermanas”. The dives were great on both sites; with mantas, silver tip sharks and two big schools of hammerheads.<br />
<br />
After being in San Benedicto, we headed to Roca Partida for two days. The dives there were spectacular! We saw tunas probably over two hundred pounds of weight, around 30 Galapagos sharks swimming together with some silver tip sharks, all on the north side of the rock. On the south part, we found the school of hammerheads in deep water.<br />
<br />
In Roca Partida the highlight was a bait ball that we spotted at the end of the day. We jumped in the panga with mask, fins, snorkel, wetsuit and camera ready! When we arrived to the site we saw dozens of silky sharks and tunas hunting. This was an incredible experience for us.<br />
<br />
After being in Roca we did our fourth day of diving at “Cabo Pierce” in Socorro Island. Here we saw six or seven dolphins on the first two dives. They were hunting and chasing the jack’s. We also had a nice encounter with three mantas and a few hammerheads and silver tip sharks.<br />
<br />
The last day of the trip was in San Benedicto, this time we dove in “El Boiler”. On the first dive of the day we saw dolphins, but they didn’t stay longer. In all the dives we saw mantas; up to six of them on the third dive, and hammerheads here and there.<br />
<br />
This was another great trip of scuba diving in Revillagigedo Islands.<br />

First of all happy new year to everybody from the Solmar V/Pelagic Fleet family!</div>

<div dir="auto">
We
celebrated the new year doing what we do best: diving with the
fantastic sea-life of the Socorro Islands! And the islands did not
disappoint, the crossing from Cabo to San Benedicto Island was very
smooth with very calm seas and took us 24 hours from the time we left
port until the time we jumped in the water for our check out dive at
“Las Cuevas” and the conditions couldn't been better for a check out
dive, calm seas, warm water, 25C/77F, very slight current coming from
the north and a visibility of about 24m/80ft. Lobsters, electric rays,
whip tail stingrays, white tip reef sharks and a chevron manta at the
end of the dive kept us entertained.</div>
<div dir="auto">
</div>
<div dir="auto">
The first full
day of diving we stayed in San Benedicto Island and we dove El Boiler
on our first dive and Pariente’s Rock/Dos Hermanas for the last 3 dives
of the day, bottled-nose dolphins, mantas, schooling bonitos, a few
hammerheads and tiger sharks gave us a great start to our trip.</div>

we crossed to Roca Partida, which took us 10 hours, the rock gave us
some pretty good action with mantas, schooling jacks and bonitos,

of juvenile oceanic black tip sharks on the 3 dives we did there before
we crossed to Socorro Island where we dove “Cabo Pearce” and there we
enjoyed of a little dolphin action and mantas looking for our bubbles to
tickle their bellies. Our last crossing was back to San Benedicto
island
where we did our two last days of diving at “El Boiler” and just like
on the first dive we did there the dolphin action was amazing! The very
first dive we had dolphins for about 30-40 minutes and also hammerheads
and mantas!...mind blowing dive site!...the rest of our dives there we
had more schooling hammerheads of up to 30 individuals, tiger sharks,
Galapagos and lots of manta action specially in the last couple of dives
of the trip!</div>

</div>
<div dir="auto">
The crossing back to Cabo was
perfect, flat seas And if that was not enough we finished the trip with a
high note spotting 4 orcas, we put one of the zodiacs down in the water
and went out to catch them, they were moving very fast but we were able
to jump in the water and look at them...we have video and pictures to
prove! Ha!...what a way to start the year and finish our trip!!!</div>

During
this trip we also had on-board a group of Mexican scientists that were
tagging mantas and sharks for their research. Excellent treat that
Pelagic Fleet got for us, supporting Mexican scientists and giving us
the opportunity not only to watch them work but to be able to talk to
them and listen to some very interesting presentations.</div>

MANTA'S DANCE AT BOILER<br />
<br />We are almost at the end of the year, and the Somar V Liveaboard keeps on with<br />the surprises at Revillagigedo, this time as usual, we departed on our 5th trip with<br />great weather and high expectations for a ten days trip.<br />
<br />The journey began with our check out dive at “Fondeadero” on San Benedicto<br />Island, as we arrived quite late to the island we had a dusk dive with lots of jacks<br />gliding on the current, two silky sharks swimming on the shallows and as the dive<br />continue the visibility got dark so the astonishing colors of the fishes glittered on<br />the reef giving a sense of sparks and shiny stripes all over.<br />
<br />On the second day we unloaded the boats early in the morning and prepared the<br />gears to get in the water, this time the chosen site was “Cañon”. Here we got to see<br />some hammerheads on the outskirts of the platform, lots of white tip reef sharks<br />swimming here and there and due we had no current we could dive the whole site<br />looking for the small stuff like moray eels, tiger snake eels and the big school of<br />burritos grunts that usually gathers at this site. We dove another great spot called<br />“3 hermanos” which lately has been a great surprise to us, so one we got there we<br />could encounter a tiger shark ambushing the fishes in the deep crest of the wall,<br />suddenly the current started to rise and hammerheads showed up in the blue, a<br />group of 20+ swimming along 3 mantas that started diving among the divers<br />getting their common bubble bath. As the dive continue we suddenly heard the<br />squeaks of dolphins and out of the blue 8 dolphins started sinking and swimming<br />up circling the divers, one of them was a baby dolphin that stick to the mother all<br />the time. In San Benedicto we got the best diving at Boiler, where as is a tradition<br />for the people that come here everyone waits for the very first dive due the best<br />dolphin and manta interaction takes place at this amazing pinnacle, so one we got<br />in the water big groups of 30+ dolphins started swimming among us al over the<br />place, then the mantas took the control of the dives and we had 4 amazing dives in<br />here, with divers blowing bubbles at their bellies, the highlight definitely were 3<br />huge chevron mantas and a small black one extremely friendly that stayed with us<br />along the day. We could spot Galapagos sharks in the deep zones next to the<br />elusive hammerheads and even a couple of black tips swimming with the big<br />school of jacks that usually could be found on the west side of Boiler.<br />
<br />After San Benedicto we got to Roca Partida, where we were expecting the great<br />whale sharks but we didn´t get to see any of these, so we focus most of the dives on<br />the big schools of jacks, the ambushing tunas and the eventually hammerheads<br />that kept swimming in the deep parts of Roca. We got to see more Galapagos<br />sharks and silvertips quite deep too. No mantas at Roca this time but anyhow such<br />a great place full of white tip reef sharks gliding in the current making and<br />exquisite spectacle.<br />
<br />At Socorro Island we got great diving with dolphins at Cabo Pearce with some<br />mantas in between too, having what we called the “manticure” at the cleaning<br />station with the Clarion angelfish. Suddenly when we were waiting to spot more<br />mantas, a big school of skipjacks shade the site and started moving along the rock<br />with two silkies patrolling the ball. We dove to more sites here at Socorro, one of<br /><br />them was Roca O´Neil where we had a great view of 30+ hammerheads and the<br />other site was Punta Tosca, where we spotted another tiger shark and mantas plus<br />the great variety of tropical fishes, electric rays and the tiny nudibranches.<br />This trip has been an amazing experience as usually Socorro is, but every time is<br />getting better and better so lets wait for the next journey to see what is waiting<br />underwater for the lucky divers in turn. Until next time!<br />

Dive Report - Trip N ° 4 (Dec 3rd to Dec 11th)<br />
<br />
Hi everyone!!<br />
<br />
We had a terrific trip!! We dove El Fondeadero at the beginning to do
the check dive. The action begun at The Boiler, the bottle-nose dolphins
come to play with the divers, at least 30 dolphins were around us. The Pacific Giant Mantas arrived to the cleaning stations and
they circled around the site, 5 to 6 Pacific Giant Mantas in a
great visibility of 80 ft / 24m of blue and warm water of 80 ° F° / 24
C. We saw 1 Black Manta and 4 Mantas Chevron during the 4 dives. Wonderful
spectacle of Mother Nature! This is why the Boiler is one of he best dives
sites in the world to interact with this gentle creatures of the Ocean.<br />
<br />
We head to Socorro Island to dive the beautiful reef of Roca O’Neil
with the majestic arch at the 100ft which make a contrast of lights,
with a moon geography at its reef there were plenty of tropical fish, diamond
stingrays, silky shark, silvertips sharks and a Chevron Manta was in
the area while the whitetip sharks were around the reef. Punta Tosca
with its long bar and beautiful reef was a relaxing dive, specially at
the shallow area with plenty of hard coral and tropical fish as parrot fish,
Pacific trigger fish, trumpet-fish and with lots of torpedo rays, whitetips sharks resting in the caves, lobsters and even a turtle was
around.<br />
<br />
Cabo Pearce with its lava flow and several cleaning stations was
perfect to watch 2 mantas Chevron and a Black Manta as well. Incredibly
amazing to watch the mantas coming from the depth to the surface
showing us their belly with plenty of white spots and doing circles.<br />
<br />
We left
Socorro Island to head to Roca Partida to encounter a rough
sea in the morning and a strong current to the east side. During the
first dive we found a school of Hammerheads at the 120 ft / 36 m. The
first hammerheads were shallower but when we look to the bottom and no less
than 40 hammerheads were arriving to spent a good time with us. The
second dive was easy and relax to watch the site and the schools of
cotton mouth jacks, amber jacks, a big Galapagos shark and the whitetips
sharks resting at the edges. The 3rd dive was absolutely amazing! At
the western side we found a big silvertip shark and few hammerheads
close to us and big schools of Big eyes jacks. We went with the schools
and the sharks to return in a blue water dive where we found a solitary
silky shark, 3 mobulas rays coming from the blue, a couple of wahoo and
finally we saw an amazing migration of Mobulas Rays, 40 to 50 of them, passing right next to us and circling in front of us while the silky
was around, every time more curious!!<br />
<br />
We came back to San Benedicto Island
to dive El Cañon and we found 2 bottle-nose dolphins and lot of life. At the
second dive we found a very playful Chevron manta. And near to El Cañon
we dove at Dos Hermanos to find more Chevron mantas and a tiger shark
of 3 m/ 9 ft.<br />
<br />
To say
goodbye we came back to El Boiler to have a bottle-nose dolphins everywhere! There were lots of them in all the site! They
were very playful and curious and the mantas were arriving to the
cleaning stations more and more. A tiger shark stayed at least for 3 dives near the mini Boiler. A hammerhead also passed right in front of us but we then decided to continue to the eastern corner because we had more bottle-nose dolphins
to play with. Lots of fun at the Socorro Islands!!! See you soon!<br />

<br />
On the second trip of the season we had great dives. San Benedicto gave us three days of incredible dives. “Las cuevas”, where we did the check out dive; so our guests had the opportunity to get familiar with the area. “El Cañón” where we did two dives with different types of sharks like white tip, silver tip, Galapagos, hammerhead and silkies. Two more dives in “Dos hermanas” where we saw mantas, hammerheads and a tiger shark. Finally we dove in “El Boiler” where we had 20 minutes encounter with dolphins, plus mantas, a whale shark, two tiger sharks and finally a school of hammerheads in the last two dives, when the current picked up. San Benedicto Island was amazing on this trip.<br />
<br /> After being in San Benedicto we went to “Roca Partida” where we dove two days. As usual Roca gave us fantastic bottom time. We saw mantas, tunas, silver tip, Galapagos and hammerheads sharks; but probably the main attraction was the whale shark that we saw on the first dive of the day.<br />
In Socorro Island we dove in “Cabo Pierce” where we saw playful dolphins in two dives. On the second dive some of the divers were able to touch one of the dolphins. That was an amazing experience for our guest! We saw mantas, some big tunas and sharks like hammerheads and silver tips.<br />
<br />
After talking with our guest and watching their faces, we can say that this was a successful trip. This was the first face to face with a whale shark for some of them and first time for everybody to have this type of interaction with dolphins!<br />

We had three days of cage diving in Guadalupe island with the great whites. The first day the action started around eleven; with sharks swimming around the surface cages and good action in the deep cage too. We had five or six different sharks during the day.<br />
<br />The second day was the best, sharks all day coming and going. They were very active chasing bait and a couple of times the animals breached going after the chunk. A couple of females were in the area, one of them probably four or five meters long.<br />
<br />The last day the action was more concentrated on the deep cage. We saw five sharks during the day. This day the sharks didn’t approach much to the surface cages. The big female came back a couple of times close to the deep cage.<br />
<br />In general, our guests were happy with the trip. For some of them this was the first encounter with the Great White and they were excited of being here; for some others this was the tenth time doing this onboard Solmar V.<br />

We arrived to Guadalupe Island in a sunny day. The crew set the cages in
the water and everything was about expectation and wait. The Great White
Sharks were in deeper waters and the first ones to surface arrived in
the afternoon .A big female of 4 m / 12 ft was around the cages at the
surface, when another 2 males of 3 m / 9 ft arrived to do circles
around the submersible cage. The next day the action begun early and we
saw 5 different sharks during the day. A big male of 3.5 m / 11 ft with
few scratches in the face, another male of 3 m / 9 ft with a rope all
around its head. A huge female of 4 m / 12 ft , massive volume, with a
couple of pilots fish around was giving hard work to the wranglers,
swimming from the depth to the cages at the surface biting and pulling
the bait, when another male of 4 m / 12 ft showed up. From the
submersible cage we watched 3 to 4 Great Whites at the same time. They've been passing close to all the cages, but when they pass close to the
submersible cage at the 20 Ft / 6 m and under the cage was absolutely
amazing! The conditions were perfect to enjoy this dives , the water
temperature 70 fº / 21C º and the visibility 50 ft / 15 m to 80 ft / 24 m. It makes of Guadalupe the best place in the world to interact with
Great White Sharks!<br />
<br />
The last day the action remain the same, 5
different Sharks, 2 of them arrived in the morning and a female of 4 m /
12 ft comes close to the cages at the surface while a couple of
freedivers of the Pelagios Kakunja foundation were tagging the Great
whites out of the cages under the supervision of the recognized
Biologist Mauricio Hoyos which has the kindness to give a presentation
to all our divers, about his studies about the Great white Shark in
Guadalupe. A wonderful experience in the Island, meantime we are
heading back to Ensenada with nice conditions and waiting for more
adventures to tell!!<br />

was a bit strong from North, it seemed sharks were happy in it swimming
tight circles around submersible at 20ft/7m deep, coming from deep
water we were able to see that smile they have, lots of bite on them in a
up close view, eye contact was imminent constantly, in deeper very
clear the display of dominance! </span></span></span><br />
<br />
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><span style="font-kerning: none;">The surface was also interesting,
completely flat ocean, we can actually see those sharks right below
surface, swimming so slow, going around the boat hiding under it to
launch a ambush attack, at times ignoring completely the bait by
swimming inches below it, they wouldn't even take it! Mouth semi open
swimming showing white teeth, pilot fishes along with them almost
rubbing its snout, back in deep water mackerel fish swimming along with
sharks taking the rear part of it, using it as cleaning station, the
panga ride is also something like “u must do” to see those little sea
lions in shallow water, a few female elephant seals, the reef below the
panga with lots of Garibaldi fish so orange color, even a few lobsters!
We had to return to on board to do more cage diving, up in the sun deck
cameras ready for half body breaching, sharks started to gather again
counting u to 4 in front of cages, at the end of the day we had counted a
total of 7 different ones from 2.5 to 4.5m long sharks, 8ft to 14ft
long.</span></span></span></div>

Hello all,<br />
<br />
Once again the Guadalupe trip report 13; started <span class="aBn" data-term="goog_654868048" tabindex="0"><span class="aQJ">on Monday</span></span> October 1st to Thursday 5th.<br />
<br />
The first trip of the last month of the season was great! We started our
trip with a lot of shark activity. We saw six different sharks during
the day, three females and three males. They were passing all the time
close to the submersible cage and also going after the bait. The guest
in the surface cages saw the sharks breaching a couple of times.<br />
<br />
On the second day we had non stop activity starting around eight am
until 6:00PM. Seven or eight sharks kept coming, one large pregnant
female about 15 feet/5 meters long and also we saw Garmin, the male
shark.<br />
<br />
The last day was a quiet day, the Great whites were less active, they
stayed most of the time in deep water. We saw four or fives sharks
chasing bait during the day, two females included. In general our guests
were very pleased about the trip, and some of them said that the
encounters with the great whites were beyond their expectations.<br />

Dive Report- Trip N 12 (September 26 -30)<br />
<br />
Hi everyone!!<br />
<br />
One more fun trip to Guadalupe Island to confirm that the population
of great white shark is healthy and growing. The weather temperature was
26 ºC / 80 F, sunny and warm, perfect to go inside the cages and watch
this magnificent creature of the ocean.<br />
<br />
The first day we set the bait
and chum in the water and we've been waiting a long time for the great whites to show up, but finally the first one arrived to say "Hi, here we
are!" Then later another one came swimming so fast against the bait. We can say that we saw 3 to 4 different sharks.<br />
<br />
The next day we
moved to another location and early in the morning we had the first great whites circling near the cages at the surface. The water
temperature was 72 F /23 C and the visibility was 80 ft / 24 m, very
clean and clear. The action was non-stop. We had great whites all day
patrolling the area, circling the submersible cage, splashing the
water at the surface, showing us their dorsal fin and showing their
skills as hunters within the bait. We saw 7 different sharks during the
day, one of them was a big male of 4m / 12 ft and was sad to watch that
it has a hook and a long fishing line. We also saw a smaller shark which was darker and he had some marks of a rope around its body. A couple of
juveniles were very aggressive biting the bait, showing us their jaws
and they had no more than 2 m / 6 ft.<br />
<br />
The last day in the Island we
watched 4 to 5 different great whites in the area and we had lots of
movement of divers getting in and out of the cages. Everyone was very enthusiastic about this amazing opportunity to
watch the apex predator of the ocean in a shallow water and safe
environment. The cage diving in Guadalupe is because the good visibility
and number of individuals! It's the best place in the world to dot this!! Another incredible
experience with The Solmar V!! See you soon!!<br />

Even water temp was nice for a 7 mm thickness wet suit, 70</span><span style="font-kerning: none;">℉/21.1℃, 3 days shark action was spectacular, our two type shark cages were constantly in use due to sharks, wind blowing from west, at times from south, but the fun was there! 30ft/9m deep submersible cage sharks circling it! checking us out! so close to cage that we can make eye contact with them! Some how they actually like sort of hide under our boat Solmar V spending time under the shade, but surface cage also was fun! Lucky sundeck customers waiting for that jump! Didn't have to wait long! it actually did happened, this new in the area shark after chasing bait from different angles decided to jump right there just feet away from cage open mouth showing white teeth taking that bait! Back in deep water more sharks wanted to stay there, below submersible cage in a comfortable zone, seeing them to measure one against other surrounded by yellow tail and mackerel fish, break time for some of our customer during lunch time! Air temp from 68 to 74℉/ 20 to 23℃, also good timing for a panga ride, female elephant seals just laying enjoying direct sun temp, lots of pups barely barking, rock formation and back to more cage diving, at times we had 4 to 5 sharks under submersible cage, at the very last day a 6ft/1.8m shark showed up extremely fast swimmer chasing bait, so close from cage, no scars, eye rolling back to cheek us out, splashing lots of water with tail in the effort get the bait which it did several times showing how its done!</span></div>

Hello everybody!<br />
This is the report for the trip No. 10 to Guadalupe island.<br />
<br />On this trip we had three good days of cage diving with the Great Whites. On the first day the action started early; the first shark showed up around ten minutes after the first group of divers went in. The rest of the day was great, sharks all the time and some times three of them were in the area. The people in the submersible cage had a great time, one of the groups had four sharks swimming around them. Today we had six or seven different sharks, one big female included.<br />
<br />On the second day the shark activity was more concentrated on the surface cages. This was the best day; we had very active sharks breaching and chasing the bait. As always "Crazy Luis" the wrangler gave us a good show, attracting the sharks close to the cages, so the people could take good shots of the animals. This day we had five sharks in the area.<br />The last day was the quiet day for the surface cages. The sharks stayed in deep water most of the time, so the action was concentrated around the submersible cage. Today we had four sharks in the area; they breached a couple of times going after the bait.<br />
<br />Overall we had a good trip, our guests had a great time in the water with the Great Whites and out of the water eating, drinking and relaxing.<br />

Once we had the cages in place the waiting wasn't too long so the divers hop into the suits and got into the cages to enjoy what they have been waiting for a long time, to have face to face this great specimen.</span><br style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; font-style: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: start; text-decoration-color: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;" /><br style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; font-style: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: start; text-decoration-color: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;" /><span style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: white; color: #222222; display: inline !important; float: none; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; font-style: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: start; text-decoration-color: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;">On the first day we got between 5 to 6 different sharks including some inexperienced juveniles of about 2 and a half meters and a couple of big ones trying to reach the bait at the end of the rope giving the spectacle that the customers were expecting.</span><br style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; font-style: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: start; text-decoration-color: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;" /><span style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: white; color: #222222; display: inline !important; float: none; font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; font-style: normal; font-variant-caps: normal; font-variant-ligatures: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: start; text-decoration-color: initial; text-decoration-style: initial; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px;">On the second day, we got up early to set up the chump so the sharks didn't wait to long to get their breakfast first thing in the morning but we had to wait a couple of hours for this, but when they arrived the action didn't stop. A big female of about 4 meters kept coming toward the lines and coming close to the cages so the divers could get the best shots. This girl had company of about 3 different males around that were quite scared of her due the size of it and never got closer to the bait when she was in the area. At some point we had the quick visit of a well known shark, "Mau" came straight to the chump and surprised our wrangler cutting the rope and getting his meal on a fast breach. During the day the big female kept breaching on and on giving the great show to the divers.</span><br style="-webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; background-color: white; color: #222222; font-family: arial, sans-serif; During the crossing from Ensenada to Guadalupe Island, we watched a humpback whale in troubles carrying a big orange buoy with a several entanglement with a rope all around its body. It was swimming with the tail because the pectorals fins were wrapped with the rope. Immediately we put the panga in the water and all the divemasters got ready to start the rescue. Another boat was on the route to Guadalupe, the Sea Escape and the same ,all their Divemasters and crew were ready to act.The 6 Divemasters of the 2 boats we worked all together, and after study the situation we enter the water to cut the ropes and after few minutes of hard work the job was done and the Whale was free!! Everyone at the 2 boats was happy!! We continued our way to Guadalupe to find the apex predator of the Oceans: the Great White Shark!! The first day we have a good interaction with them, and we can say that we saw 7 different Great Whites during the day, most of them males of 3 m / 9 ft an to 3.5 m / 10 ft. They were around the cages at the surface trying to catch the bait ,showing us all their jaws, splashing the water at the surface and showing the big dorsal fin out of the water and passing close to the submersible cage at the 20 ft / 6 m. The visibility was 60 Ft / 18 m and the water temperature 70 °f / 21 °C. The second was a little bit windy but the action with the sharks continue in the same way. Action all day!! The last day of diving was possible to watch 5 Great whites passing close to the cages at the surface and turning around the submersible cage. Garmin, a male of 3.5 m / 10 ft was very active at the surface, going against the bait and sometimes doing vertical attacks to breech at the surface, taking the bait by surprise. The rest of the day the wranglers were very busy because the action increase more and more with a big rotation of divers, coming in and out of the cages. Everyone was amazed!! Great whites everywhere ! The sharks never stop, they keep more pressure against the bait, biting the bait and pulling the ropes to escape to deeper waters. </span><br />

<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue"; line-height: normal;">Our 19 hours crossing time to isla Guadalupe happened so smooth, upon arrival it seems sharks were already there waiting for us to get into the water, our guests so enthusiastic to see the first one, of corse visibility helped out a lot, first rotation got in surface cages, every body else enjoying the spectacular view from sun deck, while others submersible cage rotation as well, every body at the same time having big time fun!! Water temp 72 </span><span style="font-kerning: none;">℉/22℃, the number of jumping was insane of these sharks, several times body out of the water while others completely mouth open out of water exposing those sharp white teeth, even thought at times vis decreased a lot just on the surface sharks were still there, counting up to 7 sharks along the day, 24ft/8m deep submersible cage was fun, just another perspective to see these white sharks and surrounded by 4 to 5 of the then in the same frame, we even had such a small female white shark about 6ft/1.8 m long with so much stamina trying repeatedly to get the bait launching its body out of water exposing as well those white teeth, jaw dropping to see the speed of one specific shark, fast as a bullet got the bait, of course lots of photo shooters standing on the upper sun deck didn't even want blink eyes so don't miss that great shot, spectacular panga rides to see those pups seals, rock formations of the island, elephant seals, Cuvier's beaked whales at the distance and then back to great white cage diving, some of the sharks we had were Gunter, Zapata, Crazy Luis, Andy; not easy to leave such a place but! About 2 hours before we got back to Ensenada Port Mexico about 400 hundred Dolphins escorted us leading the way in, so many of them jumping high up in the air, what a great experience and memories, slowing down engines they did speed as well just resting around the boat! spouts every were!</span></div>

Hello people!<br />
<br />
This is the dive report for trip number six.<br />
From the 25th to 29th of august.<br />
On this trip we had three good days with the Great Whites. The first day the action started early; almost as soon as we anchored the boat. Five sharks were in the area, Garmin and Crazy Luis were two of the sharks chasing the bate. The people in the submersible cage had a blast! The sharks came close to the cage, the divers had the opportunity to take great shots of the animals.<br />
The second day started slow, the sharks were not interested on the bait and they stayed most of the time in deep water. In the afternoon they were more active and playful following the bait. Three or four animals showed up during the day. Finally the last day in Guadalupe and the first shark showed up early in the morning. As the day before, the animals became more active as the day passes and we had great action in the submersible cage. At <span class="aBn" data-term="goog_579246749" tabindex="0"><span class="aQJ">noon</span></span> we had six sharks under the boat; and some of them were chasing the fish of the wranglers.On this trip our guests had a blast watching the Great Whites and doing panga rides to see the sea lions colonies.<br />

We have ,had a wonderful experience in the clear water of Guadalupe Island. Since the crew set the cages in the water took a short time to find the first Great White Sharks. Immediately the sharks were near to the surface showing the dorsal fin and turning around the bait. The divers got ready in theirs wet suits and the most incredible adventure begun!! Great whites Sharks in everywhere all day!! Big males of 3 to 4m / 9ft to 12ft, massive sharks passing right in front of the cages at the surface, looking to attack the bait, opening their jaws and showing the teeth. We watched 6 to 8 different sharks during the first day only!! The next day we had lot of action as well a hungry male of at least 3m / 10ft was giving hard time to the wranglers attacking and biting the bait at each time ,and when failing comes to bite again and again! A baby female of only 2m / 6ft was very active and it was the attraction of the day, small shark but very interested about the bait, circling and swimming and trying to catch the bait many times. Another male was around, very aggressive, big size 3 m / 9 ft, and it was breaching, showing us the jaws!! </span><br />
<br />
<span style="background-color: white; color: #222222; display: inline; float: none; font-family: "arial" , sans-serif; font-size: 12.8px; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; letter-spacing: normal; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; word-spacing: 0px;">The water temperature was 72 F º / 23 º C ,the visibility was pretty clear 40 ft / 12 m to 50 ft / 15 m. Around the submersible cage at the 20 ft / 6 m was possible to watch 3 to 4 Great whites at the same time. A couple of them comes in a vertical position from the depth straight to attack the bait at the surface, to come down around the submersible cage. The action was no stop!! The sharks were very active, swimming around, going up and down, very aggressive while attacking the bait and very calm at depth. Garmin, a big male of 3.5 m 11 ft has a big scratch at its head and signs of a fight in the gills .we interacted with the Great whites to the last minute of the trip and we can say that we watched 8 to 10 different sharks during the trip. </span><br />

<span>Every
trip of Great WHITE Shark is exiting, but adding kids makes it even
more, the fist day visibility wasn't cooperating very well but sharks were
there, it took a bit longer to spot the first one, they always arrive!
Amazingly the following morning visibility changed to a great one, 60’/18m with
it more sharks, as early as <span class="aBn" data-term="goog_2047482381" tabindex="0"><span class="aQJ">6:45 am</span></span>
they took the first bait, from there it was a constant action! A male
Cut Caudal shark showed up sneaky, fast, other juveniles in the area had
to go, the display of dominance started as soon as male Crazy Luis
shark showed up, water temp 72</span><span style="font-family: Helvetica; line-height: normal;">℉/22℃, no wind at all in the area.</span></div>

Time later Male called Bruce aka Zapata showed up in the area
spending most of the time surface swim right by the cages, slow swimmer,
a display of power, meanwhile 3 dolphins swam by near surface cages,
not leaving behind two turtles of course, another male joined the
celebration GARMIN that among with crazy Luis were launching the body in
horizontal position to get the bait, then a Panga Ride time! Visiting
those corners and beaches to take great pics of Elephant seals,
Guadalupe fur seal and the California sea lion, in our third day by <span class="aBn" data-term="goog_2047482382" tabindex="0"><span class="aQJ">8:00 am</span></span>
we already had seen 3 different sharks, a juvenile showed up to be the
4th shark not taking a break chasing one and other bait without taking a
break, even sticking full head out of water open mouth several times in
the attempt of getting the bait. Submersible cage was another
perspective to see those non stop sharks swimming so mellow around this
cage even sort of hiding behind cages to launch a sneaky attack straight
up for that yummy bait!!</span></div>
